“Today’s grand jury decision is a major step towards justice for Monica, her family, and our entire community. While nothing will be able to bring her back, the grand jury’s decision to charge State Trooper Christopher Baldner for his involvement in the death of Monica Goods, and for two other incidents, is a critical first step in finally bringing justice to her and her family. I want to thank Governor Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Tish James for handling this case with the care and professionalism that it deserves and I also want to recognize the many residents who have rallied and demanded justice for Monica.”
